Yoga is the union of physical body with the mind and spirit; it has existed in some form for thousands of years.
Yoga is best described as a spiritual rather than a religious practice but many choose yoga purely for the physical benefits it can offer
Hatha yoga is the type of yoga most practiced in the west and focusing mostly on the physical body, involves the yoga postures, breathing exercises and relaxation/meditation techniques.

This class is for those wishing to take their practice a little further or for beginners with a moderate level of fitness. We introduce the Sun Salutation, pranayama and inversions.
For those with a few months experience or beginners with a good level of fitness. Venturing into more complex sequencing. Some arm balances are explored.
A gentle and soothing approach using props such as bolsters, chairs, blocks and belts as support within postures, so the body can rest and release passively. Deeply relaxing postures are held for much longer to allow for rest and repair.
