Hot Stone Massage
This truly luxurious treatment incorporates aromatherapy with the warming comfort of hot stones for deep relaxation and rebalancing.
There is evidence that hot stones have been used therapeutically for thousands of years in India, China, Japan and North America.
The hot stones are made of basalt, a type of rock that is rich in iron, so they retain heat. The stones are immersed in water and heated until they are within a certain temperature range. The stones may be placed at specific points on the back, in the palms of the hand, or between the toes. The stones are also used to massage over the muscles. The heat warms and relaxes the muscle tissue, helping to ease aches and pains and creating a sense of calm. This can be of particular benefit to anyone suffering stress and anxiety and many stress related disorders such as depression and insomnia. |
Pre and Post Treatment
Avoid large meals on the day of your treatment and allow at least an hour
after eating before your treatment begins.
It is important to avoid alcohol before and after a treatment as this
will inhibit the body’s natural healing abilities.
It can take a few days for the energy to rebalance and the receiver can
experience the beneficial effects for sometime after the treatment.
The receiver can sometimes experience an initial feeling of tiredness as the old negative energies and toxins dissipate.
Then as new energy flows in, a feeling of regeneration should follow
rebalancing the body, mind and spirit. |
